On 28th November 2024, 27 high-ranking officials from AFD, ERD, DWASA, and DESWSP visited the Intake site of DESWS Project located at Bishnondi, Araihajar Upazila, Narayanganj. The Package-1 consists of Intake at Bishnondi (Capacity -1050 MLD, Pumping Station 525 MLD), Raw Water Pipeline (22 km, 2*1600 mm dia) and 500 MLD Water Treatment Plant at Gandharbpur, Rupganj. ADB, AFD and EIB are co-financing for the implementation of the said package under DESWS Project of Dhaka WASA. The current progress of Package -1 is 95.01%. The delegation of AFD, ERD and Dhaka WASA convened at the project site to evaluate project progress, exchange insights about the challenges, and enhance collaboration for advancing sustainable water supply initiatives.
